Railing Installation & Repair
Railings are different for each fence style, but they are always an important aspect of every fence. We can repair or install new railings into an existing fence. New railings can provide immediate improvement to an aging fence that is sagging or showing signs of failing. Sometimes railings can be repaired and don’t need to be completely removed and installed with a new railing. We will look over your fence and determine which railings are repairable and which need replaced before we start the work. This way, you know from the beginning what work will be performed.
Railings are the backbone of a fence and they are required to support a lot of weight throughout the longevity of the fence. Over time the railings may fail and require an improvement of support. Railings will naturally fail in some instances when a fence is aged, and the material has been exposed to weather for an extended period of time. Furthermore, shifting soil can cause unseen stress on fences which will result in more pressure on the railings. Sometimes, railings can be damaged by weather or severe storms that will leave your fence railings in shambles.
New Fence vs New Railings
A new fence is sometimes necessary if there is severe damage to your fence or there has been a drastic transition of soil that has led to an extremely altered fence. New fences require a complete removal and install of a new fence which is time-consuming and bothersome. On the other hand, new railings can make fences as good as new but generally require less work and therefore less time. There are certain circumstances where new railings cannot solve the issue, but we will generally strive to do new railings in order to reduce costs for customers.
Railing repairs are limited to the material that your fence is made from. Certain materials cannot be repaired once the railing is damaged. In other circumstances, railing materials that are repairable may not be repairable for your specific fence. We recommend that you contact us so that we can analyze your fence and thoroughly inspect all aspects of your property. If the soil is shifting and leading to fencing problems, then neither a new fence or rails will solve your problem for the long-term. The last thing we want is for you to require repeated work because of more serious issues.
In the event that we elect to replace your railings with new ones, then we want you to have a fence that is uniform. Fences with varying colors of panels and rails looks tacky and unprofessional. Therefore, we will utilize all of our resources and suppliers to ensure that your new rails completely match your existing fence style and color. Trust our experts, who have been repairing and replacing rails for years, to properly install your new rails with the guarantee that they will match in style and color with your existing fence.
